This invention is a device that enables detection of low levels of analytes in fluids. The device is designed to rapidly and efficiently concentrate the test sample fluid while simultaneously detecting the desired analyte of interest. The device has a wide range of utilities including detection of cancer biomarkers, other disease markers, and drug screening. The test fluid can consist of a wide variety of body fluids, including urine, prostatic fluid, saliva, and others.
Many current detection assays are not sensitive enough to detect low levels of analytes, particularly in disease monitoring/diagnosis and drug screening. These insensitive tests can produce false negative results due to an inability to detect the low levels of analytes. Thus, there is a need for devices which can concentrate the sample fluid in a manner that will increase the concentration of analyte(s) and result in increased sensitivity of the assay.
Reduced false negatives resulting from low analyte concentration. Can be set up for multiple analyte detection and/or subtraction analysis in a single sample.
